I have read so many articles or reviews on the topic of the blogger lovers however this
post is really a fastidious article, keep it up.
I blog often and I genuinely thank you for your content.
The article has truly peaked my interest. I will take a note of your site and keep checking for new information about
once per week. I opted in for your Feed as well.
i have not found that this particular ‘net’ promotes art so much as ‘commercial’ endeavors and ‘other’ favorites. bauhaus it ain’t. conceptual art has pretty much shown itself bereft of any bias but the banal (it can really be sophomoric, often moronic, usually repetitive and dull.) seems to clutter the market; difficult to compete in a junkyard. claims ‘high’ standards; not in evidence.
I was wondering if ArtSlant is working out for anybody.
If I read it right it’s just $5 a year but that can add up if I find too many sites that don’t bring results/benefits to me.
I visited Art Slant and was impressed with the website…I think as artists we need to be open minded about all the ways to market our art.
What is wrong with the social networks? I love taking a break from my little world and reading comments from someone elses corner (pictures, videos, blogs, twitters and all).
I say there is room for the serious, sophisticated site, and room for the “lets just have fun making art site!”
Hi Jill,
I agree that we all need to be open minded about the ways in which to market ourselves. From an art organization’s standpoint, I just didn’t see Myspace working for us. But I do think that Art Slant and Twitter seem to be good ways for us to reach out to new audiences. Everyone just has to find the ways that work for them. There is nothing wrong with social networks! I wholeheartedly agree with your last sentiment.
